Boutique and curated, Sailfish Oasis makes Guatemala’s world-class billfish fishery accessible to anglers from around the world. Founded in 2009, we are a family-owned operation run by Captain Chris “Kiwi” and Liz Van Leeuwen.
The lodge sits on a canal, just five minutes from the world’s most prolific billfish dock. Guests fish aboard the Allure II, our yellow-hulled 40’ Capps. Our captains are sportfishing veterans who have fished around the world, in many of the best marlin and sailfish destinations on Earth.
When you’re here, you’re the star of the show. From the time you step foot in Guatemala, our small, dedicated team handles all of the details.
We’ll bring you to and from the airport to the lodge. Our culinary team prepares all of your food—dinner time is something to remember. We’ve become famous for our boat lunches. Our fishing crews are ready for anything— teaser fishing, billfish on the fly, you name it.
Our lodge, the Sailfish Oasis, has all the comforts of home. High-speed internet, air-conditioning, and comfortable, well-appointed rooms. Set about beautifully manicured tropical gardens, the lodge uniquely combines community and privacy.
Our guest capacity is 20. We can arrange boats to fish groups to that size.
