FISHING THROUGH FEB 2ND

GAST GROUP

January 27-29 we welcomed the Gast group back down to the Lodge, good times as always and expectations were high after last years incredible trip. Fishing Allure II, Captain Hook and Intensity the guys had a blast, not the same bite as last year though good fishing all the same with 76 sailfish released as well as 3 blue marlin, a striped marlin which included Grand Slam for the crew fishing Allure II their first day out. On top of that there were plenty of good sized dorado to mix it up and good eats…!!

Stabber about to get stabbed?? A blue marlin getting under the rub rail on Intensity, that’s close…..

And on Allure II mate/cook/ and photographer Enio Morales captured this shot of Jasen Gast’ beautiful blue marlin.

Always a large time!!

NICK SISSA GROUP

January 30-Feb 2 always a good laugh with the above group. The sailfish bite was a bit slower than average though a few marlin bites made up for it.

Over their x 4 days fishing with us they released 37 sailfish with one striped marlin and went 2 from 5 on blue marlin, missing the last blue of the trip by mere inches before the hook pulled.

Couple of nice mahi mahi as well…

Boat snacks.

Stripey!

2-4 on blues and 7-11 on sails their 2nd day out.

It was a slow start for us in early January with some Covid related postponements / cancellations though since January 16th we’ve been steady. The fishing has been good with 3 Grand Slams for our anglers fishing out of the Oasis, along with multiple blue marlin and striped marlin to mix it up with the sailfish bite. We’re looking pretty slammed from here on in aboard Allure II though there are other great options with Capt Hook, Fishy Business and more available. Apart from that we have availability and are taking bookings on Allure II from mid April through to end of August. The summer months are some of our favorite with a good mix of blue marlin, big tuna, mahi and of course the ever present sailfish. Contact us and get in on this incredible fishery:
