To come to Sailfish Oasis, you’ll fly into La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City (Airport Code: GUA). Guatemala City is major international airport.
It is serviced by most of the large airlines. There are a variety of flight options from the United States, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. We pride ourselves in hosting anglers from around the world.
Sailfish Oasis provides the complete Guatemala experience in a way that is boutique, curated, and makes you the star of the show.
From the United States to Guatemala City, there are daily non-stop flight options from Miami, Dallas, New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and others.
From New Zealand, it’s Auckland to Houston, a three-hour layover, and then to Guatemala City. From Australia, there are one-stop flight options to Guatemala City from Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. From Europe, the options are similar.

When it comes to getting from the airport to the lodge, we have options. Most guests opt for our shuttle service. This service is included in our pricing. There is also air charter and helicopter service.
Ground Shuttle
We’ll pick you up in our 2025 Toyota Hiace passenger van. It’s customized for extra space and comfort.
Our driver will greet you with a “Sailfish Oasis” sign and bring you to the van. From there, it’s a two-hour drive to the lodge.
Your trip starts here—in style and comfort. There’s plenty of room in the van and it’s stocked with a cooler full of cold beer, water, sodas, and a bottle of rum.
Charter Air Options
For guests who prefer it, we can arrange fixed-wing or helicopter flights from Guatemala City to the lodge. The charter flight from Guatemala City to the lodge is just 20 minutes—it’s a bit longer in the helicopter.
These options add a bit of expense, but save time, avoid traffic, and are quite reasonable (especially the fixed-wing option). There is a helipad in the same development as the lodge. The aero club is a 10-minute drive from the lodge.
