The bite is on here in Guatemala!! Friday the 8th and Saturday the 9th we fished Larry Fagg and Wayne Beason for their second trip down to the OASIS, this time bringing good friend James Bilberry all from Beaumont, Texas to fish on ALLURE II. The guys timed their trip to perfection. On our first day out we started to the west of straight out and had a slowish start though after meandering further to the east in the middle of the pocket about 41-42NM out we had a red hot afternoon. Double headers and triples had the guys releasing 20 in the late afternoon session bring their total for the day to 30 releases for the day as well as a nice mahi mahi for Larry.

We ran to where the previous days action ended and got into some bites straight away. There is a lot of fish out there over a large area, moving constantly trying to find the hot spot we had steady action right through the day. Nothing hot and heavy until the last hour when we had 5 on at once (3 fell off ) a triple and a couple of double headers had us heading back to the dock with 39 releases from 49 bites. Awesome fishing guys, 69 sailfish released from 84 bites in 2 days is a great achievement and all just a couple of hours flight from home!!
Nothing but high praise for the new boat, the great food, staff and lodgings down at SAILFISH OASIS had the guys promising that this will be an annual pilgrimage. Good stuff, we look forward to fishing with you next year!

Still some availabilities though dates are filling fast, especially from January through May.
