Oct 15-16 saw the start of the new ’22-’23 Season with the good Dr’s on the back of their Volunteer trip to Guatemala with a couple of days on the water with Capt Jono Nicholas and crew aboard Allure II.
Good fishing over their x 2 days post Hurricane Julia with 19 sailfish released from 27 bites and several nice mahi mahi in between.
Good enough to switch to the fly on their last day out and for Keith to tick one off the bucket list with his first release on the fly, superb effort all round!

GROVES GROUP
Oct 20-21 and great to see the Groves group back for their second trip to the Oasis and fishing 2 days with Capt Eddie on Capt Hook.
Their 2 days on the water they raised 20 sailfish getting 13 to bite and released 3. Some finicky bites made it a bit tough, they also had a nice blue marlin in the spread that did not switch to the bait.
Along with 2 tunas and 9 mahi mahi to top off a couple of fun days on the water.
CORPUS CHRISTI GROUP
Oct 21-22 good to see Bill Gavit back down here with us and introducing Joey. Gerome and Jeremy to the Oasis and a couple of days aboard Allure II with Capt Jono, Julio and Enio.
A good example of October fishing with the guys covering all the bases…
From the 19 sailfish they raised the guys did an awesome job releasing 10 from 15 bites.
A nice blue malrin of about 250lb’s for Gerome.
Several mahi mahi
And a solid yellowfin tuna of 100lb+ for Jeremy
Nice series of jumps on the leader with the blue marlin…
